Parity Error 2 - System Dimm memory

System rebooted itself and comes up with the error Parity Error 2 - System Dimm memory. All four memory slots are populated. I removed and tried all different combinations of memory and the same error occurs. When the sytem boots it reports that a critical errror occured before power down. I don't see it possible to have four bad DIIMMs at the same time. Also upon power up the machine does not do the Compaq Drive Array initialization that it used to do.

Re: Parity Error 2 - System Dimm memory

if you have swapped out the dimms then the problem is most likely the dimm slot itself..especially if you are now experiencing other problems with the system...if the system is still under warranty call into compaq for replacement of the system board...if you dont know wether its under warranty have your serial number ready when you call in..they will be able to verify
