Parity Initialization Status: Initialization Failed DL360 G5 P400 Array Controller?
I have the above system with two arrays setup. Array one is RAID level 1 with two drives and is fine. Array 2 is RAID 5 with 3 drives. I also have a Global spare setup. logical drive 2 on Array B failed. The array utility did not show any of the drives failing but the logical drive was marked as not enabled and was not rebuilding. I rebooted and pushed for recovery but it failed. I looked at the drives and noticed drive in Bay 2 was not blinking green. So I replaced this drive which was in Array B and rebooted. It started rebulding but when finished it said it is waiting for recovery and never has recovered and sitting in that state.
I ran ctrl all show config detail and the result yielded:
Logical Drive: 2
Size: 465.7 GB
Fault Tolerance: RAID 5
Heads: 255
Sectors Per Track: 32
Cylinders: 65535
Strip Size: 64 KB
Full Stripe Size: 128 KB
Status: Ready for Rebuild
Caching: Enabled
Parity Initialization Status: Initialization Failed
Unique Identifier: 600508B1001033363220202020200008
Disk Name: \\.\PhysicalDrive1
Mount Points: E:\ 465.7 GB
Logical Drive Label: A07D026CPH79MW9362 22DD
Drive Type: Data
I dont know what needs ot be done to get out of recovery mode here. I may have repalced a good drive and not a marginal drive. Should I replace another drive out of the three drives. Which other one could be bad?
Any help willbe appreciated.
