Re: PCI-X 64 esata/sataII for DL-585 G1
Hello,
so, nowadays it is not easy task to find PCI-X sata/sas controller.
Generally, DL585 G1 is (or better was) oficially upgradeable to SAS technology by using HP Smart Array P600 controller. (and SAS/SATA cages)
Please check here DL585G1 quickpecs: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11902_div/11902_div.html and P600 quickspecs:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12247_div/12247_div.html . unfortunatelly, it is not widle available now, check PN 337972-B21 with your HP vendor or over internet.
Another option are Adaptec raid controllers like 2420SA or 2820SA - http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/support/raid/sataii/aar-2420sa/ (we use them in some not branded servers with sata drives, work fine), unfortunatelly again they are not in production.
