problem with replace drive in smart array 641
Hello I have a problem with a ProLiant ML370 G4 server with smart array 642 controller
two weeks ago I noticed that a disk was reported as a failure
I tried to reinsert it seemed to be shared, but after a while there, and 'off without reporting any LED
I replaced the hard drive, I just added the new seemed to be shared, but after a while there, and 'off like the old without LED
the logical disk are raid5 with 3 disks connected
into insight diagnostics
the code state og the logical disk are=04
and the description is= "READY FOR RECOVERY", and all physical disks connected are detected and you can view all their parameters, speed, size, serial, etc
you have no idea what it is?
Thanks in advance

Re: problem with replace drive in smart array 641
Run ACU - array configuration utility - and see what it says.
You can also look in ADU but it's a little complicated.
Start with the ACU and look for error messages.
