Problems on DL760 G2

Hello everyone,

i have a problem with this model, all firmware is up to date, but the server continues to make ASR and Blue Screens.

I made all the diagnosis test with the smart start 7.80, but the test finish with no errors.

This is the errors reported by the IML:

Hi David,
as far as I can say by now, your problems are NOT hardware related.
I googled around and found various hints to STOP: 0x0000000A caused by driver malfunction of 3rd party software.
The STOP: 0x0000008E could be caused by an odd win32k.sys which was fixed in SP2.

thanks for your answer, i saw that in the google to.

But my client insist that the problem is memory or CPU. And i´m pretty sure that the problem is in the SQL Server.

But i wan´t to now if there is anything that i can do more than tests that i already made, to prove to the client that he has to check the software.

Hi David,
with both your testings and the IML you can proof thad the hardware is okay. When your customer doesn't believe you and insists in wanting more, simply take two disks (raid1), build up a fresh and clean windows2003 and let it run for hours, days or weeks (whatever it takes to convince your customer)
BTW: Does your W2K3 already have SP2 ? (concerning the STOP: 0x0000008E)

You are correct but when you Work to a big company like mine it´s a little beet dificult to some things that we wont to do.

Proliant support pack? 7.70 or 7.80

The SO is Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition Service Pack 1

This server is part of a cluster with 4 nodes.
And the PSP is 7.80A.
