ProLiant DL380p Gen8 iLO broken after firmware upgrade

Upgraded three outdated ProLiant DL380p Gen8 servers this morning. Two were running 1.22 and the last 1.30.

After upgrading one of the 1.22 servers, the fans started running on 100% and when logging in to iLO, the password didn't work. I had to reset the password from the operating system.

Once logged in, both overview and system information looks wierd:

I've tried to reset to factory defaults but no dice.

Due to production, restart of server was delayed.

I had iLO open during restart and in the middle of boot sequence, everything started working as expected again.

Hi robingg, did you reboot the server to fix the issue? I'm also experiencing this issue right now.

try rebooting the server, if this does not work, pull the power plugs.

Hope this helps!

Hi Torsten, thank you for your suggestion. I can't do any reboot for now so I'm asking if there's any solution that would not require to reboot. The server is currently being used and I can only troubleshoot on iLO.
