Proliant ML 110 G3 problem installing Promise RAID Contoller
Hi
I am trying to setup a new HP Proliant ML 110 G3 server with a new FastTrak SX4100 4-port RAID controller. However, I cannot get the system to show the initial FastTrak BIOS (Ctrl-F) when booting up for the first time.
Although in the initial POST information it shows the Contoller to be in Slot 3 (IRQ 10) it is not seen in the BIOS as an option in the Boot startup order. I have updated the BIOS with the latest drivers and changed the Contoller to the only other PCI slot but that makes no difference either.
I did initially install this same controller in another new machine (different motherboard) a couple of days ago and it installed and worked perfectly.
I have checked on the Promise website and the Contoller is compatible with the HP Proliant ML 110 G3 server motherboard.
Any help would be grearly appreciated.
Thanks
Stephen
