Proliant ML350 G5 Lights code

I have an HP Proliant ML350 G5 server and after a regular shut down at the shutdown button, it didn't came back.

I haven't seen its logs for months, and I just have for now the front led panels:

The power button sometimes gets green, or amber.

The internal and external leds (those two next to the power button) were blinking red.

The other led was down.

I see there are one led on the motherboard that is amber, and the green (and only) button of the power was down. Where can I find a "map" of these leds? 

What can it be?

I have 2 pics for now.

I think it is just the PSU, because its green led is down.

But the internal LED 7 or 8 is amber.

I know we are no here to protest. But I live in Rio de Janeiro, and there is no authorized reseller here to sell this PSU for me.

I could find for about USD 400.00 each PSU waiting a week to receive...

First I would suspect the fans ... ;-)
The server looks like a vacuum cleaner.

Try to connect to the ILO, you maybe get some more status information from there.

I have changed both CPU fans to news.

I have put the old one and the problem remains...

How about the ILO-2 connection?

Could you tell more details about the system LEDs?

BTW, a bad CPU or systemboard may look the same like your server now.

You may try with a single CPU, minimum RAM, single PSU.

How can I try this ILO-2 connection?

There is a led number 7 or 8 in amber color.

Below the memories there is a sys fan plug. On the left side of this fan plug, there is a "pool" of 6 (I gess) leds. The top 2 are blinking.

There is another led in green, maybe number 5 or 6...

I don't know how to put the server to work just in one CPU. I just need to take the other off?

A new PSU is comming in 3 or 4 hours. 

So I think when a put the new there, the system will be able to work or show me better what the problem is.

In all cases, the unique amber light inside the system is about PPM 2 os CPU 2. I think that there is a probability to take them off and work with just one.

I'm insisting on the PSU at first because of the green light that is not on behing the PSU...

If you don't have ILO configured, plug in a LAN cable into the ILO port. DHCP is enabled, the credentials are written on the sticker.

If you set the System maintenance switch DIP switch 1 to ON, you can login without a password.


Consider to remove CPU 2 first, then try to boot. If this fails, remove CPU1, put in CPU2 in the slot of CPU1 and try again.

Sometimes this server has a problem with the power supply backplane, in such case you don't have all the voltage needed to run.
