PSP 8.60 on DL380 G4 W2003 SP2 fails HP Insight Management Agents installation

Hello, we've upgraded to PSP 8.60 2 DL380 G4 (w23003 sp2) and both have had problems installing HP Insight Management Agents. Tried to install an early version (8.50) has worked ok, and then installed 8.60 again without installation errors.

Now we face a diferent problem in bith servers. HP Insight Server Agents stops with this error:

Aplicación con errores: cqmgserv.exe, versión: 8.60.0.0, módulo con error: cpqhlth.dll, versión 8.60.0.0, dirección de error 0x0001cce3.

To workaroud this, we have disabled "system information" subagent in HP Management Agents control panel, and now the service doesn't stop.

Has anyone any idea on how to keep system information subagent enabled and not causing this error?

I think Support for many G4-Series Servers in the PSPs has been dropped lately.

I'm having similar Problems with ML350G4 and G4P Machines. I don't know which is the latest Version supporting this Hardware, but I guess it's 8.30 for my ML350G4 as it is the PSP-Version linked when searching on the Download-Pages for these Servers.

This might be similar for your DL380G4 as well.

Just had a look at the Support-Lists:

DL380G4 is not mentioned in v8.60 : ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/c-products/servers/management/smartstart/serversupportguide8.60.pdf

However it is in v8.50: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/c-products/servers/management/smartstart/serversupportguide8.50.pdf

Some for my ML350G4p .. but G4 has already been out in v8.50&v.840 as well so 8.30 is the latest here.

I'll also downgrade then.

I had this happen before. (failed install) I un-installed the management agents and rebooted & re-installed the management agent. that worked for me.

FYI:

I've upgraded a third identical server without any problem, so I've been comparing its config with the problematic ones.

The main difference I've found is the HP ProLiant iLO Advanced and Enhanced System Management Controller Driver version (cpqasm2.sys). The failed servers had version 5.37.0.0 and the fine one 5.42.0.0.

I've installed 5.42.0.0 in the problematic servers and the errors are gone :-)
