"INTEL" update from Windows Update on ProLiant DL 360p GEN8
I accidentally allowed two "INTEL" updates to get installed from Windows Update on some DL 380p GEN8 servers. Researching this I found this article which suggests this is "bad" and should be fixed:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/software/chipset-software/000023446.html
However, the information in the article is a little off when it comes to HPE servers. What I see, when I compare to another server that did not get the update, is that the affected servers have this NEW driver installed it (and the other clean servers do not):
Intel(R) C600/X79 series chipset LPC Controller - 1D41
So my questions are:
If I leave this on the server will it cause problems? The article seems to suggest so...
If I decide to remove, what is the best way? Should I right-click on that drive and do uninstall? The problem is I dont know if other drivers got installed along with this one? This is just the only what I found so far.
Thanks
NK
