Raid 0 migration to raid 5
Hello,
i have a proliant DL380 gen9 with 4x hard disks 1.2TB each in a RAID 0, 1 of these hard disks has failed multiple times and disabled, however we were lucky to enable it without any data loss from storage administration utility.
we are planning to replace the corrupted hard disk and insert 2 more hard disks and migrate raid 0 to raid 5 without any data loss , can you please direct me to the procedure to do this?
thanks in advance.
Regards,
MM

Re: Raid 0 migration to raid 5
Hello,
The short answer is that you cannot convert RAID 0 to RAID 5 without losing data. If you wanted to convert from a RAID 0 array to a RAID 5 array, you would have to break your RAID and rebuild the drives into RAID 5.
NOTE: You should have the complete data backup before raid migration.
