Release Notes for Gen11 Service Pack for ProLiant, v2025.01.00.00 is here! Check out now.
This document includes fixes, enhancements, and other information related to this version of SPP.
Here are a few enhancements/New Features details:
- Added new Microsoft Option ROM UEFI CA 2023 secure boot key.
- Updated the boot device string rules to include the case when VMD is enabled.
- Introduced the “Smooth Cooling” option under RBSU\Advanced Options\Fan and Thermal Options, which adjusts fan speed response to enhance acoustics by minimizing rapid fan speed changes. This is particularly beneficial for workloads with fluctuating CPU usage. Note that enabling this setting may lead to a slight performance decrease due to brief CPU thermal throttling. Some operating systems, like Linux, may log these events, but they are expected behavior and can be safely disregarded.
Here are the problems that are fixed in this release:
- Resolved an issue where the system could report an uncorrectable memory error after remaining idle for an extended duration.
- Fixed an issue where the system could hang during memory initialization after restoring the system settings to factory defaults.
- Addressed an issue where the system RBSU menu might list duplicate or incorrect network interfaces in the selection page
- Corrected an issue in which certain text strings within System Configuration\RBSU\Network Options\NVMe-oF Configuration\NVMe-oF Attempt were not properly localized and continued to display in English after selecting a non-English language.
- Resolved an issue where the NVMe image description in RBSU could be incorrect when VROC was enabled and the system RBSU menu might not display clear drive location information.
