Remove Physical Drive from Array

I have a HP Proliant DL 380. I have created an array that contains 3 physical drives. I need to remove one of the drives from the array without losing the data. I have tried using the ACU but there's not an option there to do such a thing without losing the data.

P.S. This thread has been moved from Netservers to ProLiant Servers (ML,DL,SL). -HP Forum Moderator

Dewayne:

You can not remove a drive from an array. The only way you can reduce the amount of drives in an array is to...

1. backup your data
2. delete the array
3. recreate the array
4. restore the data
