Replace drive in RAID 1 on Proliant ML310 G1
Proliant ML310 G1/Server/Win2k/Megaraid utility ver 2.5
I want to swap a drive in the RAID 1 array. I removed the slave and installed the new drive. The MegaRaid utility wants to install it as a spare. If I do not, it makes it a RAID 0 array. Once inside the MegaRaid setup, I can see the RAID array and the spare listed. One of the opions listed under the existing RAID1 array is "Build Array". When I choose this, it asks if I want to start "Rebuilding drive from spare drive pool?" I think the answer is yes at this point. Am I on the right track?

***Have you tried to configure the RAID array with the ACU within SmartStart***
It is not installed.
I was able to rebuild the Array. I then replaced the master and rebuilt the it also. I now have two new hard drives with the original drive info.
What is the best way of going about getting the full use of the hard drives? The new drives are 80GB, but the array is still at 40GB, the size of the original.
