Replacing 146GB SAS with 300GB SAS in RAID 5 - HPE PL ML350 G6

Spoiler
I have an HPE Proliant ML350 G6 which has a RAID 5 array consisting of 3 x 146GB SAS and 3 x 300GB SAS drives. The controller is a Smart Array P410i. One of the 146GB drives has failed.

I have 2 questions:

1 - Can the failed drive be replaced with a 300GB SAS drive?
2 - When the array rebuilds is the data still available or will it be offline until the array has finished building?

Thanks

Hi

Answers :

1.  Yes, you cn replace the failed 146GB drive with 300GB drive .Kindly ensure that the  rpm of both disks should be same .
2. During the rebuilding time aslo the data is accessible ..
