replacing drive in Raid 5 configuration
I have a DL380 G4 with the 6i controller. There are 6 scsi disk and one of them has failed. I have a replacement one on hand. However it is bigger than the one that failed (36 gb failed and 72 gb is spare) Do I just need to put in the new disk and it will rebuild on its own?
Thanks,
John

Re: replacing drive in Raid 5 configuration
Hello John,
yes the larger replacement it will rebuild itself into the RAID.
I believe you will not be able to use the remaining space on the 72GB disk.
