Replacing the smart array controller
Recently we had a problem with one of the server in which we diagnosed the array controller failed. If we replace with the same controller will the SO and other data be safe? or do we need to configure the smart array controller? We have 3200 controller and we will replace with the same controller ? We do not want to lose the data?

Re: Replacing the smart array controller
You can just replace the array controller - it will pick up the array as all information is held on the disks and not on the controller.

Re: Replacing the smart array controller
The controller can be replaced without losing data . You'll still need to run the System Configuration Utility and the Array Configuration Utility , where the controller will read the configuration information from the drives .
