Smartarray E200 Interim Recovery
HI All,
I removed a faulty HDD from an ML110 Server with a SmartArray E200 Controller (expansion card NOT the E200i) set in a RAID1. I have now plugged two new HDD drives (both larger than the previous drive) into the drive bay (one hot-plug the other cold). Unfortunately, no matter what I try they both come up with Interim Recovery in the ACU.
Now the new drive says it is bad or missing?
Any help out there?
Cheers
Hazza

Re: Smartarray E200 Interim Recovery
OK, so found a solution elsewhere! For anybody who searches in the future - the solution was to put the old drive back in the system. Then Boot from the SmartStart CD. Choose Maintenance and then choose ACU. Now break (Split) the Mirror. Shut down and remove the faulty drive.
Now I need assistance for the next step - add a drive to the existing Array without wiping the data! Any clues???
Cheers
