SSD Value Endurance on ML350p Gen8

Hello,

I would like to use 6 x 717969-B21 (240GB SFF 6G SATA  HotPlug SC Enterprise hard drive)

in 736968-421 (Proliant ML350pTGen8 Xeon E5-2650v2)

However I find confusing info:

Product bulletin only mentions 718177-B21 HP 240GB 6G SATA Value Endurance LFF 3.5-in SC Enterprise as core option for this server

http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/productbulletin.html#spectype=north_america&type=html&docid=14226

The SSD 717969-B21 is mentioned as SFF on page 2 of and as LFF on page 18 of

http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/14038_div/14038_div.pdf

Can anyone at HP confirm 717969-B21 HP 240GB 6G SATA Value Endurance SFF 2.5-in SC Enterprise Value is a SFF drive and can be used in the mentioned server in the SFF cage?

Thanks!

Re: SSD Value Endurance on ML350p Gen8

I think 717969-B21 is being phased out in favor of 739888-B21 anyway - which is a 300GB 6G SATA Value Endurance class drive, and is listed on the quickspecs for the ML350p Gen8 as compatible for SFF systems. You may want to check on using 739888-B21.
