Struggling to install OS on PCIe M.2 SSD DL380e Gen8
Hi all,
I have installed an intel 120GB M.2 SSD in the 16x PCie slot with a converter, and when I go to install Win server 2019 or win10 it looks like its installing then reboots like normal but then it just opens up the windows install wizard again,
If I remove the USB media with windows on then reboot it comes up with "winload.exe" error
I have tried resetting BIOS too, with no joy
Does anyone have any idea what im doing wrong?
Thansk

Re: Struggling to install OS on PCIe M.2 SSD DL380e Gen8
Hello,
I hope you are doing well.
I would suggest you use the supported hardware with the server because of that M.2 SSD drive doesn't support with this server.
Please follow the documents for more clarifications

Boot from NVMe requires UEFI.
Gen8 servers only have Legacy BIOS mode.
