ultra scsi hard drive
i am installing nt on this box, and i get stuck , when the setup asks me for the specify additional device. and when i give enter , it tells 'no hard drive found' and setup quits. The hard drive is 'Ultra wide scsi 3' .Please help where can i find the drive files for this compaq hard drive. thanks

what you need to do is NOT let nt detect mass storage devices..instead download sp14437.exe and run it on a system .it will extract a few files..one of them is qrst5.exe..run this file and it will create diskettes..you need diskette number 2. then in NT instead of letting it detect mass storage choose SPECIFY..then OTHER..it will then prompt you for manufacturers diskette...put in disk two...it will load the necessary scsi drivers and begin the NT install
