Universal driver
hi everybody,
I am looking for Intel Universal network driver. here is my scinario -
we have all HP DL series servers... and we have autobuild server script. I want to install standard driver during my autobuild. After finishing with this build i am running postbuild in which i am applying all security patches, drivers, windows ciritical patche. my build is based on Windows 2000 / windows 2003.
In this scinario if i have universal driver then i don't need to worry about perticular driver for network card and don't need to change my script....
i found somewhere on the interenet it says Universal network driver but it's not free download. so, if you have any idea pls. let me know...
Thanks,
jd.

Re: Universal driver
You should be using the ProLiant Support Pack as part of your build. It will put the appropriate drivers for each model into the install. While "UNDI" drivers might work, they offer poor performance.

Re: Universal driver
Hi j,
try the NDIS2 driver in the attached file for better performance. In my mind the HP driver uses 10 Mbit/half duplex. The NDIS2 driver might be better.
