Unknown Hard Error (Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x00000077 (0xC000000E, 0xC000000E, 0x00000000
I am getting an "unknown hard error" at the console and the following error message from Insight:
Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x00000077 (0xC000000E, 0xC000000E, 0x00000000, 0x004F2000))
ASR Detected by System ROM
The server is partially up. I can access certain shares but not all. I cannot Remote Desktop to it. During this error, I see a lot of system, event viewer messages about "An error was detected on device. \Device\Hard Disk 0\DR0 During a page operation."
After I do a hard reset, the event viewer messages disappear and then errs out in a day or so.

in reverse order:
the "error was detected on device during a page operation" means the harddisk is having trouble reading or writing to the disk. that's bad news
if i remember correctly, which i may not, ASR is either a problem outside the bios being relayed by the ACPI system. short answer: power, thermal or OS issue. i think it's safe to ignore this, considering the other problems.
stop 77 is KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR, meaning the kernel wrote a page of very valuable data to disk, and it can't be read back. the status code is NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_DEVICE, (this is particularly bad) and sugguests the SCSI or RAID controller was totally unable to access the disk, either through fault of the disk or fault of the controller.
since it seems to take a few days to become a problem, i'd open the case and look for any issues that may be trapping heat against the raid controller, a cake of dust on the heatsink for instance.

There have been Innumerable people who have helped me. Of course, I've managed to piss most of them off.
