What does CACHE_MODULE_STATUS Other mean?
Hi,
One of our ProLiant DL380 Gen10 is reporting CACHE_MODULE_STATUS Other. What does that mean? Does it need any attention or can we ignore it?
TIA
Roland

Re: What does CACHE_MODULE_STATUS Other mean?
Hi,
May be you can ignore it but is there any other message with this Status.
See if the the controller or iLO needs any update.

Re: What does CACHE_MODULE_STATUS Other mean?
Hi,
I would suggest to check the cache status in smart storage administrator and if any issue /warning observed ,you may need to log a support case with HPE as this need more investigation including log analysis

Re: What does CACHE_MODULE_STATUS Other mean?
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion. As this machine does have ESXi installed, I could only run ssacli:
ssacli ctrl all show status
HPE Smart Array P408i-a SR Gen10 in Slot 0 (Embedded)
Controller Status: OK
Cache Status: Not Configured
Battery/Capacitor Status: OK
Maybe "Not Configured" means "Other"?
Thanks,
Roland
