Thanks...It doesn't work at startup though, although it is a command to use in the bios.

I don't recall the POST screen on a G3, it doesn't show the function key options durng POST?

What is a HD380?

Maybe a DL380 G3?

From DL380 G3 user guide:

After the auto-configuration process completes, or after the server reboots upon
exit from RBSU, the POST sequence runs, and then the boot option screen is
displayed. This screen is visible for several seconds before the system attempts to
boot from either a diskette, CD, or hard drive. During this time, the menu on the
screen allows you to install an operating system or make changes to the server
configuration in RBSU.

F11. The Answer is F11. 

At the end of the post sequence just before the system boots into the configured boot device, you get a menu with the following options

Press F9 for ROM-based Setup Utility

Press F10 for System Maintenance Menu

Press F11 for Default Boot Override Options <---- that's the one you want

Press F12 for Network Boot
