What to do first after getting a shiny, new HP Proliant Server?
Greetings to ALL,
A great pleasure to be a part of a great community. That we may learn from the experts and, in due time, hopefully give back something to the community.
Our school recently recieved an HP Proliant ML150 G9 server. And to make the long story short, we are not sure what would be the first things we should do. We already have plans on what would be its functions - Domain Controller, File Server and Database thru Virtualization. What usually are the procedures to do upon acquaring such equipment in term of keeping the server up to date with its firmware and other 'built-in' softwares.
Our school have used regular desktops as servers soo you can see where our 'fear and excitement' is coming from.
Thank you all!
