Disaster recovery - Proliant Microserver Gen8
Hi everybody
Excuse me for my english (and my few skills)
I've inherited a Proliant Microserver Gen8 (with B120i RAID controller) from the previous IT technician.
I've found that he was making backup using Symantec recovery disk to save Server 2008 image.
I'm triyng to restore the entire system (booting with Symantec Recovery disk) on another HDD but the system doesn't recognize it.
Also using the Windows Server 2008 installation CD the system doesn't recognize disk C:
Is it possible the RAID controller doesn't allow to view the destination disk?
Another question....
is there a better solution to save (and restore) Server 2008 image?
Thanks in advance
Igor
