Do I need the SAS Expander ?

I'm specifying a ML370 G6 for my company and can't work out if I need the SAS Expander Card.

My Config needs to be ....

2 disks in the standard drive cage
8 disks in a 2nd drive cage (raided - but not with the first two disks)
internal 1760 LTO4 tape drive

Any help is much appreciated
