E60 - new installation

I have HP E60 server with 512 MB. I want to test a hard drive (it has windows 2000 server and an application already installed) on this server. How do I go about booting from the hard drive - the system does not let me do that. Any ideas?

Re: E60 - new installation

Need more information. Your message is not clear.

First of all make sure that you are using SCSI drives. SCSi drives use SCSI ID's for boot priority. SCSI ID 7 is usually for the controller. When the system boots you should see the boot priority during the BIOS startup.

Hope that helps.

Re: E60 - new installation

David,

Thanks for the information. The drive is not a Scsi drive.

IDE harddrives are NOT supported on the E60. You must use SCSI drives.
