Hi
I have DL580 G5 with ESX3.5. HP Agents are 8.1.1.
Only two ports on my QuadPort NIC are connected. At the moment I don't want to connect another two port to network.
It produces folowing alert:
Model:HP NC364T PCIe Quad Port Gigabit Server Adapter
Firmware Version: 5.12-2
Status: Link Failure
How coud I disable alarm for those two ports.
Thank you

Solution
I realize you're talking about VMware ESX, but under Windows disabling the disconnected NIC from Device Manager or Local Area Connections will keep the System Management Homepage from reporting the connection as failed.
Maybe a similar technique would work under ESX?

You're right. Good workaround.
