EXPANSION ROM NOT INITIALIZED

hello, I need help here... I have installed a OEM LSI Logic 20160-HP into my pavillion desktop model 8750c. The install went great, I have downloaded the drivers from the hp.com support page to install the card into the computer. but there was one certain problem. When the computer do a POST boot up it beeps twice and shows an error message reading.

"EXPANSION ROM NOT INITIALIZED - PCI MASS CONTROLLER....."

my windows XP does recogonize the card, and we are able to use the card also... but I do believe that the scsi card can perform much better when there is no error message on the card itself. is there a way to remedy this issue? please let me know. Thanks.

Is card used for boot or for additional storage space?
You can verify Firmware/BIOS for Card If available and for Desktop, additionally you can see what Options is available for you from SCSI card ROM options

Well if I do download these filmware updates do you think it will be compatible with my pavillion model?

You need to find exactly for your Product, ones that posted only general links find your card and see if there anything available and check for Desktop at HP support Page for Firmware /BIOS availability
