How-To Configure Hot Plug (hot spare) hard-drive...

I just acquired a spare hard-drive (Ultra 320 SCSI 36.4GB 10K) with caddy/tray to use as a hot spare (plug) for my existing ML370g4 4 drive RAID-5 config. Because I don't have any documentation I am not sure what I have to do to insert my new drive into the array & to configure it so the system sees it as a hot spare. My O/S is Windows Server 2003. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks!

Hello frank,

Select the array to which you want to add this disk.
Select the task 'Spare Mgmt' and then the new disk, you are done.
Now it should read as Array with Spare.
