How-to Install Operating System on a DL320 Without a CD-ROM Drive

Our branch office received 4 new ProLiant DL320 Servers without CD-ROM drive. How should we install the operating system on the servers?

If you are going to install Windows 2003 you can use external USB CD ROM drive. Please see below link for USB support on Proliant servers.

Also you can purchase optional floppy drive and CD ROM drive for your server from HP.

I have assume that you are having DL320 G4 server.

Did you get an ILO license with them if they are ILO enabled? You can use virtual media to connect the cdrom of you pc to the server and build them that way, if you had too.
