How to take out NC7770 Gigabit Server Adapter and change Jumper J1?

Hello
I have a NC7770 Server Adapter (Gigabit Ethernet Network Card) in a Proliant DL 580 G2 Server.
This NIC needs a firmware upgrade. It is mentioned in bold that before and after the firmware upgrade the setting of Jumper J1 needs to be changed to enabled/disabled.
The NIC is a Gigabit Ethernet Card perhaps with kind of fragile fibers and I am afraid I could damage it if I don't dismantle it and do it in the right way.
I could not find a description on how to take out the NC7770 of the server and change the Jumper J1.
Would someone have a step-by-step description or hints what to watch out for?

The server is older than half a year and there is no support from HP any more.

Thank you and sincerely
Andreas

Andreas,

Please see this link:

It may answer your questions about J1.

If you check out the NC7770 Users Guide, it will give you things to watch out for, when you handle cards. Be sure the server power cords are unplugged, before you begin.
