There was a power cur during the night and i found the server off (HP Proliant ML 370).When i tried to boot it, it shows that there an attempt to boot from the hard drive, then it stops the booting process.I have tried to change the boot order, but it can.t find the operating system. Can anyone help me with this.

Re: HP Proliant ML 370 G2 boot up problem

Hi, chek all hw with test first, if it found any, check part by part, reconnect all parts: hard disks, pci cards, memories, etc.
If no problem, check sw. Depending of OS version you can fix the problem.
good luck

Re: HP Proliant ML 370 G2 boot up problem

What o/s are you running. Are you running on a smart array controller?

If you are, run the array diagnostics utility (from memory it's on the smartstart CD). Are there any failed drives? Is the bios boot order correct?

Claude:

There are two places that you may need to check the boot order:
1) The ORCA (Online ROM Configuration for Arrays) of the installed Smart Array Controller, typically using the F8 key.
2) The RBSU (ROM Based Setup Utility) of the ML370 G2, typically using the F9 key.
