HPML350G2 SERVER
My server HPML350G2 came with ultra160 18gb 10k hot pluggable hdd. My drive is faulty now. Can I put 36gb or 72gb ultra320(10k/15k)hdd with my server, also I would like to know which smart array card I can use with these hdd

You can support U320 HDDs in this server, but if you use an array controller earlier than an SA-6x, you will not be able to achieve U320 (320MB/sec) transfer rates.
The most accurate method to determine which hardware is compatible with the server is to check which hardware is listed in the server QuickSpecs document. These can be found in HP's Product Bulletin Home Page, but this older model is listed under the Archives section:

There is an array controller compatibility guide, but this model of server isn't explicitly listed (see below), but another G2 series may yield a compatible array controller. Most of the SA-5x and SA-6x controllers should work. When in doubt, contact HP.

thanks alot for my brother's help, I put 72.8gb 10k hdd in the server, hdd is working now.
