LC2000 hotswap drives

This seems like it would be so simple, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the drives (or even the empty drive covers!) completely out of the hotswap bay. The drives come out about an inch and the drive powers down but still does not come completely out. I'm afraid of pulling too hard on anything because the plastic handle might break, am I missing a lever or a button to release it?

Re: LC2000 hotswap drives

Hi Loren,

The server has a key lock on the drive cage so you need to unlock it. If you don't have the key here is the part# to order it
5182-4534 -- Key - Drive lock - Used to lock the mass storage cage
It is less than 5 dollars
You can call 1-800-538-8787 and order the key

If you have a key for other Netservers you can use them to unlock this LC 2000 drive cage
