Microserver N40L and 2008 R2
For two weekends I've fought this little server and I cannot seem to get 2008 R2 server installed.
I have (2) Seagate 160gb hdd set to RAID 1. Server installation stops and asks for the RAID drivers that I hunted down on the AMD site and loaded onto a thumb drive. None of the drivers will load so I can continue installation. I verified that I have the correct drivers.
Anyone have ANY thoughts or advice on what to try? I'm not a novice at server installations, I've done it hundreds of times at work on enterprise systems.
Thanx
Michael

Re: Microserver N40L and 2008 R2
Hi,
Hope you have tried this driver at AMD.

If still the problem, have you tried to embed the drivers into OS media using nLite.
I work for HPE.

Re: Microserver N40L and 2008 R2
One does not use nlite for server 2008 r2 (that was for XP)
I installed Server Core to USB SSD drive with 4 drives in software RAID5, which works fine
Maybe it would be a better option for you
