I've got a problem with out ML350 G3.
We're runninng Windows 2K3 Std. Server on it - works fine.
The only problem is that the second LED of the top (in rack montage) is orange. I've installed HP Insight Diagnostic Online-Edition it says no trouble.
We've installed a "normal" 80GB IDE hard disk in the system. It works without problems. Perhaps that's the problem? But the strange is after we've installed the hdd the led was green as normal, it wents to turn orange later without changing anything.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: ML350 G3 LED2 "Internal-LED" is orange
On board IDE controller is not designed to Support HDD at all, along some times it detected correctly with Cable Select jumper.
Verify IML from HP/COMPAQ system Tools - errors Report
Verify Event Viewer
you can slide server out, take a quick look over system Board for amber LED and Side panel Images for LED position, don't keep open more than 4-7 minutes - Overheating

There's an amber led behind the ram mudules (near lpt port) - perhaps that's the problem?
