ml350 g4
I have a server with 2 drives on raid 1 and 4 on raid 5. I want to upgrade all the raid 5 drives to 300gb, currently they are 146gb. Will I need to delete the old raid5 install new drives and set up a new raid or will it detect new drives and just establish them same raid config. what's the best procedure for this? The data is not important.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Re: ml350 g4
If the data is not important; boot server, remove raid 5 array, ensure array adapter is running latest firmware, remove 146gb drivers, replace with 300gb drives, initialise new raid 5 array.

Re: ml350 g4
Aaron has wright if the data aren't crucial to your busines (24/7) then just make new RAID 5. If you have service breakes (eg. 10pm-6am) then you can make backup of the data an then replace the drives and make new RAID 5. If not you need a backup server to sustain your busines.
