ML370T01 and Windows 2003

Have an ML370T01 dual processor server running windows 2003 R2 SP2. The problem I am having is that the server is only showing 1 of the processors, both show up and initialize during POST. Server details as follows:

Firmware : P17 12-18-2002
Processor : Dual P3 EB 733MHz
Family 6, Model 8, Stepping 3
1 gig ram

I had windows 2003 installed before the new firmware upgrade. I have tried to update HAL driver but only get the options for a standard pc. If anyone has any idea as to how I can get windows to see the 2nd processor I would be very greatful.

Kind Regards
Darren

Re: ML370T01 and Windows 2003

Hi Darren,

Try this :

Right click on my computer, and go to Manage, then click on device manager, and Computer. It should say something like "ACPI uniproceser pc". From there right click and click on "update drivers. You will need your Win2k disk for this. From the update driver menu click on "install from specific location" and select "don't search I will chose driver to install" and click next. From that menu select "ACPI multi processor pc" or "MPS Multiprocessor PC". You will need to restart and you will be good to go with 2 cpus installed.
