Move one Raid 0 Disk from a server to another one
Hi.
I have two identical server tc4100.
On the first one, I have one disk (Raid 0).
I would to move this disk to the second server without loosing the datas stored on it.
On the second server, there is already disks that won't move or change.
I tried to use NetRaid-Wizard to create a new array with 1 disk, but I'm not sure that I won't lost data.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Move one Raid 0 Disk from a server to another one
Based on my experience, if you switch the HDD to the other server, do it without any other disk nor electricity, get a back up of all info, it will work because the raid info is stored on the disk. After back up, remove the disk off powered and put the other set of disks, boot up and run the ACU, then imput the new disk and pray for it to recognize the raid 0. You can run the ACU from the smart start cd not to compromise the other operative system.
Remember, first back up.
Remember, first back up.
