Netserver LH3 drive capacity

Hi,
My company has a Netserver LH3 that we are looking at upgrading. Currently it has 6 9gig drives installed. Is it possible to upgrade to 72gig drives. If so, is there anything that needs to be done to make it work. We put a 36gig drive in and it didn't recognize it. Are there updates that need to be installed first?
