Proliand 2500 Smart Start Amdminister password
Hey guy's,
I have a secondhand Proliand 2500.
I configured it and installed Win 2000 server,
SP4, the supportpack etc.
All is working! When I was ready it was late.
But I wend on installing and checking some things. Then I did sometingh stupid, I setup an adminsiter-password in the configuration!(not in windows)
I thought I ussed what I always use... but not.
Now I can not save configuration anymore.
The on screen info about deleleting a forgotten password is: look in the computer manual how to remove it from the memory...
But it's a secondhand server without manual... help! whow do I get back contole over my new toy?
I could not find any answer on the site so I turn to you guy's.
I hope someone can help me.
My Email: douwe.de.jong@gmail.com
Thanks in advance,
Douwe

Re: Proliand 2500 Smart Start Amdminister password
Here is your manual:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/UCR/SupportManual/TPM_281834-001_rev2_us/TPM_281834-001_rev2_us.pdf
Check jumpers and switches, if you cannot override the password you will have to erase the system and install all new with the Smart Start CD 5.5 and the server-profile diskette.
Here you can download what you will need:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/7453.html
