Proliant DL380 G5
hi guys am new to servers and i need somehelp installing the Linux to the DL380, i already downloaded the PSP from Hp but how should i start ? and what are the steps for configuring the Linux on the Dl380

Hi Hasan,
Well, you should use your smartstart CD to start off with. In the smartstart procedure you will be prompted on which OS you want to install. Select Linux and provide the other information....

Hi Hasan,
I don't know if Vincent has ever tried to do what he said here...You cannot install Linux through the SmartStart CD, since there is no Linux to choose for OS!!!
The supported Linux derrivates are RHEL3/4/5 and SLES9/10.
Simply start installation by booting from OS-CD. When finished, install the PSP (actually 7.80)
