Proliant ML350 network problem

Good morning.
Recently I have a problem with the server in subject. after a while the NIC start to send a lot of packet (about 19.000.000 in 12 hour) and hang all our lan. I tried to change the NIC (i changed it inside the server with a 3com) but the result still the same.
The os is Windows 2000 server
