SCSI CONTROLLER AND DRIVES
I have a Proliant ML330 server. My mirror failed, and upon booting the system it tells me that the second SCSI drive failed. I got an exact replacement from HP,and connected the drive. However, the system won't boot and tells me that there was no SCSI boot device found. When I unplug the new drive the system boots fine. I'm sure I just need to configure the new SCSI drive, but how? I contacted HP Support and they say I don't have a SCSI array in there according to the diagnostics. Under device manager I see a Compaq 64bit Ultra3 SCSI adapter.
There's a "ctrl-s" upon boot to configure SCSI devices. All it allows me to do is change the SCSI device ID. Before going any further I need to understand the menu options, but HP support has no clue as to what I'm talking about. Can anyone help?
