Server ML310 G4 NIC Cable not detected

Hi,

I have a ML310 G4 Server with Windows 2003 Standard 64Bit installed.
I want to use the onboard NIC (HP NC320i)
When I boot the Server the LEDs show that the networkcable is connected. (Front-LEDs and LEDs at the connector)
At the middle of the boot process the LEDs cease. I installed the newest firmware and drivers with no effect. After uninstalling the card the LEDs light up. If i restart the server with uninstalled card the LEDs are on until Windows recognizes the NIC and the driver is installed.
What can I do?
