Slow RAID performance 380dl G3
I have three Proliant 380dl g3's with a couple of different RAID configurations that, in my opinion, seem to be very slow. Here are some benchmarks I ran:

Re: Slow RAID performance 380dl G3
in alll HP Servers with Raidcontrollers the DISK Write Cache is off.
Have you a BBWC?
then you can enable the WriteCache on the Raidcontroller
RAID5 is slower than Raid1 ...

Re: Slow RAID performance 380dl G3
Theoretically, how fast should the different RAID sets be going with a 5i smart array? There has to be a spec sheet. I'm sure it's faster than what I'm getting, and if that's the case, how can I reconfigure mine? These are production servers, and they are slooooow. I'm trying to clean up the job the old system admin did before me.

Re: Slow RAID performance 380dl G3
Speeds increase a little, but these speeds are still horrible. I've called support, but there only suggestion was to buy the bbwc.
