Teaming Nic's and Windows Clustering

We are using HP Blade servers for clustering.
When I team my nics I see all 4 fysical network connections as local area connection 1 to 4 and I get a local area connection 5 wich is my teamed card. In the windows 2003 cluster setup wizard I get some warnings about DHCP settings for connection 1-4 and that they don't have a primary IP-address.
Can I disable these local area connections or should I ignore this?

You can't disable them as these are needed for the physical connection. You should just ignore the messages.

Can you tell the windows clustering which network cards to use? If so, tell it just to use NIC 5.

You can also rename this interface to be something like "Team Interface" - Makes it easier to find in some screens.

Usually the HP software disables the "TCP/IP" protocol of this interface anyway.

MSCS (Microsoft Cluster Server) best practices would probably suggest that you use static IP addressing (versus DHCP).

I Tried to disable them and indeed got no connection anymore.
The only option was to ignore the warning.
